Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Paid Search leader to join our Paid Search Marketing group.

The Associate Director, Paid Search Marketing position reports directly to the Group Director, Performance Media and is responsible for Beeby, Clark Meyler (BCM)’s larger-scale clients with aggressive media budgets and a need for a robust and intricate Paid Search strategy.

The Associate Director is responsible for overseeing Managers, Analysts and Senior Analysts on the team to ensure the success of the client programs. In addition to overseeing select larger clients, the Associate Director will also be responsible for assisting the Group Director in ensuring the BCM Paid Search product is being followed through by the entire BCM Paid Search team on all accounts. This includes setting processes for the team for testing, optimizations, restructures, tool use and new ideas.

The Associate Director will play a key role as we continue to expand the BCM capability by developing and training new talent, fostering vendor relationships, identifying paid search technology platforms and leveraging cross-capability agency teams. The Associate Director will assist in innovating the Paid Search team and the agency as a whole with new ideas on processes, personnel shifts and tools.

The individual will be expected to have expert level in Paid Search and be a go-to resource of all Managers and Analysts on the team. Must have superior supervisory and management skills and exemplary communication skills. They will need to have the ability to adapt to changing marketing conditions – new opportunities, emerging trends, competitive challenges that enable our agency to deliver successful campaigns that solidify client engagements long term.

Overall responsibilities of the Associate Director:

  • Responsible for overseeing large-scale clients at BCM, with analyst teams.
  • Work closely with the Group Director on new business development and engagements, including pitches.
  • Represent BCM in the industry, including speaking engagements at industry conferences and webinars, in addition to regularly contributing to the BCM blog.
  • Develop best practices and standards for the BCM paid search practice, along with the Group Director.
  • Investigate and develop new tools and processes for the Paid Search team to use in managing accounts or working together in a more effective and efficient manner.
  • Occasionally QA other BCM accounts to ensure best practices are being followed and guide the Managers and Analysts in keeping accounts in order.
  • Manage the onboarding process of new Paid Search clients to ensure the new BCM team is handling client communication, optimizations and restructures to the best practices of BCM.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a STEM discipline
  • Previous experience managing paid search teams of 3
  • Certifications Required: Google Ads; Microsoft Ads; Google Analytics
  • 6-8 years of Paid Search Marketing experience (Google Ads, Bing Ads)
  • Experienced and trained in SA 360
  • Experience with using Google Ad Scripts and Microsoft Advertising Scripts to automate paid search management and optimization
  • Experience managing large scale ($2MM ), direct marketing-oriented search campaigns (i.e. goals like CPA, ROAS, CPL)
  • Experience across both B2B and B2C
  • Comfortable speaking with and presenting to senior clients
  • Detail-oriented with an analytical approach to achieving objectives
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and presentation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
