Job Summary: Equipment Specialist (ES)
This Equipment Specialist reviews and tracks the status and availability of company-owned assets, including rental and lease-purchase trailers and tractors. This position also supports the Maintenance Department with various tasks, including processing invoices, entering data in the business system, properly filing documents, and answering the department phone. The job includes working with other teams to ensure a smooth workflow between departments that will contribute to the company's overall success.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor and report the status/availability of company-owned assets
- Review Daily Yard checks for returned equipment
- Maintain unit files and Mcleod by keeping equipment types and status current.
- Perform routine active unit checks
- Source outside rental equipment with vendors as needed
- Coordinate all tractor and trailer rentals and lease purchase agreements for new and existing drivers
- Coordinate recovery of equipment from the field
- Coordinate with the team to ensure equipment is prepped and ready for drivers as needed to meet operational needs.
- Proficiency with invoicing/accounts payable.
- Proficient in data entry and record keeping.
- Answering the shop phone and taking messages
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Work well and communicate effectively at different levels, including, but not limited to, Co-Workers, truck drivers, management, and customers.
- Complies with Beemac & OSHA Safety / Quality guidelines.

Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma, College Degree, or relevant Professional Experience.
- Must be able to work 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM M-F with odd hours as business needs warrant.
- Must effectively communicate with customers and co-workers professionally and on time.
- Must be able to comply with all safety guidelines.
- Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and follow-up skills.
