Packaging Team Member

POSITION SUMMARY

BEER NUTS Inc. is hiring Packaging Team Members to join our production team. Packers work in a fast-paced environment, where they work as a team to package finished products. Packers are responsible for packing, weighing, and labeling completed products for shipping or storage. They also perform final checks for defective items, ensure all working items make it to the loading area or inventory, and keep detailed records of materials. The Packaging team will ensure that the packaging is done according to company standards and that products are ready to be distributed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONDSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Pack, weigh and label completed items for shipment or storage

· Verify the correct film is being used, consistently checking for bad film, packages, and displays.

· Check and document the weights of bags and quality of seals.

· Inspect packages to ensure they are not damaged.

· Ensure that the proper count of products is going into each display.

· Complete daily production sheets

· Maintain cleanliness of the packaging department.

· Assembling daily orders to be received by shipping department.

· Clean machines at the end of the production run or the end of the day.

· Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

· High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred

· Possesses strong communication skills.

· Knowledge of packing and shipping procedures

· Organized, can multi-task, and has attention to detail.

· Ability to problem solve and trouble shoot potential issues.

· Ability to lift 55 lbs. and stand for long periods of time

· Must be dependable and reliable.

· Possess a positive attitude, be efficient, be productive, and be a team player.

JOB TYPE: Full-Time

HOURS: 1st Shift: Monday – Thursday 6:00 A.M. – 4:30 P.M.

Occasional Fridays may be required.

PAY: 1st Shift: $15.00 Hr.
