Job Summary
The Nurse Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the medical department in an opioid treatment program, providing nursing services and patient care. In centers with labs, they also manage lab operations and the medical assistant/phlebotomy team. This role includes planning, assessment, intervention, and evaluation of patient needs, and performing phlebotomy and administering medications.

Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient nursing and lab operations.
- Assess patient dosing appropriateness.
- Administer methadone as prescribed.
- Maintain patient dosing records and medication inventory.
- Collect urine specimens and maintain medical supplies.
- Train and supervise nursing and lab staff.
- Coordinate care with physicians and community providers.
- Report and document workplace issues and injuries.
- Develop and manage medical department schedules.
- Conduct internal program reviews and audits.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and community meetings.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting standards.
- Valid RN or LPN/LVN nursing license in the state of employment.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Minimum of one year of experience in substance abuse treatment and administration.
- Advanced knowledge of medication-assisted treatment.
- Leadership, supervisory, and teaching skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in basic computing and office equipment.
- Prolonged sitting, bending, stooping, and stretching.
- Variable workload and high stress at times.
- Standard medical office environment.
- Interaction with patients who may be ill, have infectious diseases, or mental health diagnoses.
- Keyboarding for extended periods.
