General Description We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team. This position is highly visible throughout the organization and will deal with a broad range of accounting topics. As a valuable resource to the organization, you must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills. You must also have the ability to coordinate and manage projects, be proactive and deadline-focused, as well as highly organized.
Responsibilities:
- Reconcile bank and prepare related journal entries
- Manage monthly prepaid amortization to include booking prepaid expenses and reconciliation.
- Prepare and maintain fixed asset depreciation and prepaid asset schedules
- Prepare and record monthly accruals
- Perform month-end closing activities including preparation of journal entries and analysis and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Support both internal and external audits.
- Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system changes.
- Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices
- Assist with SOX compliance and management of material control audits
- Assist with compilation of information for preparation of tax returns
- Oversee payroll and accounts payable accounting
- Expense report administration
- Miscellaneous projects as they arise
