Bekaert is a Safety First culture looking for a Maintenance Team Leader that will provide leadership and coordination of the activities of the maintenance department. Responsibilities will include coaching and counseling of employees, project and personnel management, maintaining maintenance records, coordination of all maintenance activities with internal and external customers, analysis, troubleshooting and resolution of equipment and process problems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
- Observe mechanical devices/equipment in operation and listen to locate trouble.
- Run appropriate tests to troubleshoot faulty equipment.
- Discuss malfunction and machine operation variations with operators, supervisors and/or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem and repair machine.
- Diagnose malfunctioning electrical apparatus and repair, rewire, or replace faulty wires, cables and/or components.
- Dismantle defective machines and equipment, examine defective parts to detect imperfections, and install new or repaired parts.
- Repair defective parts.
- Install special functional or structural parts in buildings or equipment.
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Start newly installed or repaired equipment to test performance.
- Plan layout of wiring, conduit and electrical apparatus in buildings or equipment.
- Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers, wiring, and electrical/ electronic components of equipment.
- Run and connect power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed equipment such as rollimg mills, furnaces, and programmable controllers.
- Layout, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment; repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
- Repair and maintain buildings and grounds.
- Fabricate and repair interior walls, structures, furniture and fixtures.
- Install and repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.
- Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
- Operate cutting torch and welding equipment to cut and join metal parts.
- Initiate purchase request for parts and machine repair by contractor.
Minimum Requirements
- Ability to work with other personnel.
- Ability to undergo various aptitude tests to verify competency such as a mechanical, electrical and mathematical aptitude test.
- A candidate must be experienced with electrical troubleshooting and have some proficiency reading electrical schematics.
- The candidate must have a Journeyman Card from any DOL approved apprenticeship program or currently/recently enrolled in the program. Equivalent experience or certifications could be considered
Training commitment
- Successful candidate must commit to successfully completing an approved Supervisory Training Program at local University (i.e. Stark Technical College Preferred) which could entail travel & external coursework in a timely fashion (to be completed in two years of less)
- Successful candidate must commit to successfully completing an approved Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification Program. Programs are available on-line through local colleges-universities. Some travel & external coursework may be required. Course must be completed in a timely fashion (to be completed in one year or less).
- Successful candidate must commit to successfully completing Bekaert Supervisory modules as offered. Some travel will be required and this to be completed within 4 years of service in job.

- Supervisory experience
- Six Sigma Certification
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited University or program in the field of: Engineering, Maintenance Management, Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Supervision, Business Administration, or programs with similar content.
Physical demands
Employees are regularly required to carry loads of 50#, climb ladders, reach over head, bend, and climb around/under machines and equipment.
Conditions
Employee can expect an industrial environment. The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electric shock, and vibration. Employee is occasionally exposed to high precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather, and extreme heat. The noise level is usually loud.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
Supplemental Pay:

- Bekaert maintains standard 8 hour workshifts Monday-Friday and 3.5 day workweeks. (3-12hr shifts, 1-6hr shift) Weeks are split Sun-Wed and Wed-Sat, and days are split 4a-4p and 4p-4a. Do you have open shift availability?
