Job Responsibilities:
-Test engineer is a key role in engine development to provide successful execution of the test plan.
-Individual will regularly review look ahead of test plan with senior engineers and prepare for engine and test cell setup.
-This position requires engineer to work with experienced facility team and global engineers to ensure program progress.
-Growing dual fuel development work provides unique opportunity to work on latest engine technology. Individual with ready to work analytical problem solving and enjoys hands on tasks will experience satisfying and engaging results on a daily basis.
-Support/direct/mentor test cell operators running engine tests.
-Troubleshoot both engine and test cell issues.
-Coordinate with support function teams like facilities, instrumentation, mechanic etc. for issue resolution.
-Document test cell and engine hardware issues.
-This position will be required to attend daily standup meeting with core team as well hand off meeting for continuous operation.
-Individual will provide updates, participate in troubleshooting discussion, help reach to consensus on action plan and communicate results to technical team.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with 2-4 yrs. experience
oWork experience in mechanical testing
oWill accept <2 yrs experience if specifically related to engine testing


Required:
-Familiar with mechanical/electrical test setup and data acquisition equipment
-Working knowledge of Microsoft tools.
-Self-starter, Strong verbal, and written communication
-Enjoys fast paced, hand on work environment.
-Quick learner and attention to details
-Analytical and problem-solving ability





Desired
-Understanding of diesel engine
-Data analysis/visualization tools like Matlab, Canape, DIAdem
-Familiar with emission/ measurement equipment like Horiba, AVL, Allen Bradley
-Innovative/creative technical solution
-Lead projects and extended team members
