Supply Chain Strategic Sourcing
We are looking for a Manager, Strategic Sourcing to join the Bell Supply Chain Management (SCM) leadership team. The position is in Fort Worth, TX, reporting to the senior manager, strategic sourcing and will have global responsibility for maintaining and establishing strategic supplier relationships, managing all strategic sourcing activity for our production and legacy programs, and mitigating any supply contractual relationship risk.
The Manager, Strategic Sourcing is responsible for procurement contract professionals executing sourcing strategies to drive the best material availability and supplier relationships to support the growth across Bell as we meet and exceed customer demand to secure our future. In this role you will lead internal and external engagements across Supply Chain, Engineering, Program Management, Regional Procurement, Compliance, Subcontract Evaluation, Legal, Customer and Supplier organizations while diving deep into the technologies and operations both from a product and supply chain perspective.

What you’ll be doing as a Strategic Sourcing Manager
- Analyze trends involving the industry players, suppliers, customers, and technology to develop and execute sourcing strategies to secure supply, reduce cost, minimize risk, and utilize emerging opportunities, allowing Bell to meet and exceed our goals.
- Mentor and empower team members to grow and develop critical thinking and communication skills that allows them to achieve their full potential.
- Advise, coach, and develop your individual contributors to deliver an outstanding experience to our internal customers and supply base.
- Enable the strategic sourcing team to drive outstanding execution across all aspects of the organization.
- Partner with your direct reports to build personalized plans that support their development towards career goals.
- Review key performance indicators to stay up to date on strategic relationship roadmaps and execution of organization strategies.
- Direct and proven track record of success within supply chain negotiating complex contractual terms and conditions.
- Excellent writing, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with ability to lead high performing teams in a dynamic environment.
- Skilled in MS Office Suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight while keeping leadership informed of critical information.
- Ability to travel up to 35%, international and domestic.
- 4 year degree BS/BA in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related business or technical degree
- Master’s degree (MBA or MS/MA) preferred
- 10 years of related experience
- Certification in Six Sigma (BB or GB) or Lean Manufacturing - preferred
- Experience with any of the following aircraft commodities with respect to suppliers and processing techniques: rotor blades, drive systems, sheet metal, composite components, composite and metal structures, plastics, castings, forgings, metallic and non-metallic materials, bearings, seals, interiors and vendor managed inventory.
