Position Summary:
The Recruiter/Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of a recruitment plan for accumulating quality foster care and adoptive homes and to provide assistance with marketing the Foster Care/Adoption division.
Responsibilities Include:
- Establish and prioritize target recruiting areas based on the following:
- Geographic location, established/desired county referral agencies, agency affiliations, inquiries, current foster and adoptive parent feedback
- Determine critical decision maker(s)internally and externally; meet, develop positive relationships
- Work in concert with BJCB Intake/Marketing department to meet current community needs/trends (delinquent girls, medically fragile youth, sibling groups, etc.)
- Establish and host routine Information Meetings in target areas
- Market & advertise
- Set up location and facility meeting needs (fliers, food, information packets, etc.)
- Conduct presentations
- Track participation and oversee follow-up contacts and materials
- Develop, implement and consistently maintain an annual calendar of events
- Develop and implement tracking mechanisms to:
- Evaluate recruiting efforts,
- Follow foster parents throughout process from initial contact to licensure
- Monitor quantity and quality of foster parents
- Review and evaluate efforts quarterly including targeted areas, foster parent engagement
- Recommend changes as needed
- Oversee the development and maintenance of the Department Recruitment Plan and submit to ODJFS as required
- Establish relationships with foster parents; participate in Cluster meetings; determine foster parent challenges and evaluate foster parent quality
- Assist/attend training sessions as necessary
- Work with BJCB Development Department to develop media and social media opportunities, ensure collateral materials are fresh, appropriate and interesting
- Assist with marketing Adoption Department services including:
- Collaborating with Adoption Director and Liaison to establish target areas and consult regarding methods, tracking and evaluation efforts including developing database systems
- Assist with developing program surveys; solicit satisfaction regarding current services, potential services and other ideas to generate department revenue
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree
- LSW
- Experience working with children, adolescents and their families
- A minimum of three (3) years direct experience with foster care, a minimum of one (1) year recruiting experience
