Responsibilities and Expectations: Senior Electrical Engineer
Responsibility: E&I Design
Registration: Professional Engineering registration preferred but not essential.
Experience: This position requires 5 years heavy industrial experience.

- Contribute on projects for the preliminary stage through startup.
- Electrical / Instrumentation / Controls Design.
- o Create or mark-up existing drawings as required to communicate design intent.
- o Perform field work.
- Inspecting plant conditions.
- Verifying existing plant conditions.
- Routing tray, conduit, or cable.
- Layout new equipment for most efficient use of space and resources.
- o Preliminary design for installation of motors, instruments, and controls.
- o Coordinate with other disciplines as required to produce projects with the lowest total installed cost
- possible.
- o Check design work for accuracy to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- o Design loop sheets, elementaries, system architecture, and other wiring diagrams.
- Support Scope and Estimates and proposal development.
- Provide construction and startup support.
- Work closely with clients.
- Pursue and develop business relationships.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients.
- Lead scope development efforts by interfacing with clients as needed.
- Communicate scope needs to designers or other engineers.
- Obtain quotes for engineering, equipment, materials, and services.
- Develop bid packages, lead bid meetings, and evaluate bids.
- Manage procurement and construction activities.
- Coordinate project safety, timing, and other issues.
- Lead checkout and startup activities.
- Control documents generated during the course of the project.
- o Issue documents to clients for permanent storage.
- Close out projects in file system
