What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Aide position at Benbrook Nursing and Rehab?
Our company is growing rapidly and is looking to fill the role of laundry aide. Please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications. While this is our ideal list, we will consider candidates that do not necessarily have all of the qualifications, but have sufficient experience and talent.
Responsibilities for laundry aide
- Cleans laundry area and equipment
- Cleans the break room and restrooms
- Assists with processing the hospitals orders
- This individual will be responsible for providing laundry services to provide a safe, sanitary, comfortable and homelike environment for residents
- Press/iron garments as instructed
- Fold, count, stack, hang, and distribute clean laundry, linen, gar
- Performs housekeeping duties in the resident apartments and common areas of the community
- Functions may include standing for extended period of time up to 8 hours
- Transportation of laundry, linen, garments, includes, but is not limited to, pushing a cart that may exceed 30 pounds
- Operates washer and drying equipment to process linens, curtains, slings, in a safe and efficient manner
Qualifications for laundry aide
- Demonstrated ability to perform tasks requiring manual and physical labor
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate mutual respect to others
- Lifting, Pulling/Pushing, Standing, Walking, Seeing
- Must be able to work 4PM-8PM, 12-16 hours a week, and every other weekend
- Will consider applicants with prior work experience
- Washes contaminated linens separately from other linens
