Summary: The Distribution Manager is responsible for managing end-to-end execution of logistics and distribution, from strategic planning stages to implementation and compliance. Directly partners and serves as main link between the distribution center, supply chain and order management/commercial teams. Clearly and actively communicates program schedules, deliverables, and expectations to all cross functional partners.

- Manage daily relationship with DC on shipping requests & requirements to ensure on time pick up and shipment
- Resolve shipping issues such as carrier pick up, shipment discrepancy & packing compliance
- Perform periodic reviews with DC mgmt to understand issues impacting performance
- Based on DC feedback, lead and drive activities at distribution centers that impact distribution costs and/or efficiencies
- Follow up on any quality/damages issue that are packing related. Work with DC to resolve
- Call out and support Sr Manager of Order Management on any order transmission issues with DC
- Collaborate with Sr Manager of Order Management to provide efficient support to the Order Management team from shipping process & requirements to documentation
- Support US & Canada teams on shipping requests and inquiries. Set up and maintain shipping status process to handle regular request in an efficient manner
- Support International Shipping from Shipping/Freight invoices, SLIs to carrier inquiries
- Collaborate with BOD Director & Global Supply Chain to identify and resolve ongoing shipping and carrier issues for international shipments
- Build relationship with key partner for efficient and solutions-based communication
- Set up expectation in term of urgent shipping requests. Limit 1 day / 2 days deliveries and provide information of cost impact for larger urgent sends
- Collaborate with Order Management teams in new vendor set up and shipping compliance requirements
- Support Order Management team in having shipping documentation readily availability for chargeback documentation
- Ensure Shipping Documentation is readily available for financial audit (BOL/PODs) or for international shipping/customs requests
- Approve and resolve coding issues as relates to shipping invoices. Provide support and solution to BOD Director on any ongoing coding issues.
- Provide support as needed to BOD Director and Order Management teams such as holiday shipments and special projects
- Support involves requirements and quotes on ad hoc reworks on non-saleable product and liaison with Global Supply Chain and Sr Manager of Order Manager if needed on rework of saleable product.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic retail-oriented distribution environment with changing priorities and demands
- 3-5 years experience in logistics/distribution role
- Excellent communication, analytical, organizational and skills
- Proven Ability to build cross-functional relationships
- Ability to problem-solve and provide solutions effectively
- Willingness to accept new responsibilities and challenges and grow with the company
- Can-do positive attitude and a roll-up-your-sleeves approach
- Proficient use of Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word & PowerPoint
