Bennington College seeks a chemist to join its faculty, beginning July 2023. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in chemistry or closely aligned field. Candidates must be able to teach across the chemistry curriculum and be willing to extend their teaching beyond traditional curricular boundaries; the teaching environment supports innovation by offering small class sizes and a culture that strongly encourages active student engagement. The successful applicant will pursue an original research program that involves undergraduates; area of research specialization is open, but candidates pursuing research in biochemistry, environmental chemistry or computational chemistry are especially encouraged to apply.
Bennington College is a small residential liberal arts college in southern Vermont, long distinguished for its progressive approach to higher education.
