Position Summary
The Ingredients department is searching for a Global Director, Strategic Marketing.
You Will:
Management/steering responsibilities:
- Manage the interaction between Marketing and Sales Areas
- Support interface with marketing agencies and consultancies
- Serve as primary marketing interface with R&D on product launches
Manage industry Sales/Marketing activities:
- Support development of Marketing Plan and translate into operational guidelines for Sales
- Support the ideation, planning, and execution of marketing efforts that achieve revenue targets and attract and retain qualified customers
- Manage successful product launches by creating the go-to-market strategy of current and new products and features, including positioning, messaging, and comms creation
- Develop positioning strategy to build brand awareness and attract the right people
- Identify market and customer trends and communicate findings to management
- Support development of communication materials, press releases, articles, white papers, and support development of sales presentations.
Sales Support
- Drive analysis of competitive market forces based on input coming from Sales and R&D and market research
- Support launch of new products with marketing campaigns and at key trade shows, events.
- Provide input to planning and follow-up for marketing communications and marketing campaigns
- Participate and support sales in selected key meetings
- Drive strategic innovation projects building activities (ideations, reviews, prioritizations) based on business case, technical fit and customer demand
- Support and spar on customer negotiations (build scenarios based on pricing, volumes, exclusivity, commercial advantages
New Business Development
- Identify and prioritize new customer opportunities based on market potential and customer and competitor analysis (scouting for, developing and qualifying ideas/new leads)
- Support development of long-term forecasting activities and business cases, together with Business Development and R&D to support key partnerships and Growth Initiatives
You Have:
- BA degree (Business/Marketing and/or Technical) and MBA (preferred) from top tier graduate school
- Minimum 5 years of marketing and/or sales experience with a FMCG or multinational B2B
- Track record of key involvement consumer product launches
- Have strong influencing and communication skills; ability to translate strategic plans into actionable, measurable goals
- Strong public speaking skills and comfortable presenting at trade shows, conferences, digital interfaces with diverse audiences
- Proven ability to indirectly lead cross functional teams; people management potential: development, coaching, and motivation of employees
- Be available to travel (30%) to key conferences and trade events, including internationally
