Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Café Manager to join our team. The Café Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our café, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and maintaining a positive work environment. Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the café operations, including staff scheduling, training, and performance management
- Ensure excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers, addressing inquiries or concerns, and resolving any issues that may arise
- Oversee food production and quality control to ensure consistency and adherence to health and safety standards
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and place orders as needed
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative menu offerings and seasonal specials
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including dining areas, kitchen, storage areas, and restrooms
- Utilize POS system (e.g., Aloha POS) for order processing, cash handling, and reporting
- Coordinate catering orders and ensure timely delivery or pickup
- Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new café staff
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hospitality management or a similar role is required
- Strong knowledge of catering operations, inventory control, and food production
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Proficient in using POS systems (e.g., Square) for order processing and reporting
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle customer inquiries or complaints effectively
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Work experience as a Cafe Manager or Lead
- Hands-on experience with professional coffee machines
- Math skills
- Availability to work within opening hours (including weekends and holidays)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- Customer service attitude
- High school diploma
- Additional certification (e.g. in Business Administration or Hospitality) is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.50 - $18.50 per hour
