Position summary: The driver position is responsible for delivering petroleum products (fuel, oil, methanol and/or Propane) to Benz Oil customers (local and oilfield) as ordered and adhering to all safety regulations in the hauling, loading and delivery processes.

Location: Killdeer ND
Starting Wage: $30/ hour DOE
Sign-On Bonus: $2,000 after 6 months
Reports to: Department Manager and/or Dispatch Supervisor

Hours/Work Life Balance/Schedule Options:
- 20 days on and 8 days off or 10 days on and 4 days off
- 10-hour days (7:00 am to 5:00 pm)

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Pre-Trip Inspections
- Drive tractor-trailer truck, straight truck, boom truck and/or bobcat
- Complete paperwork that is neat and legible and submit it in a timely manner (Invoices, JSA’s, BOL’s, etc.)
- Collect payments
- Work as a team member and respect co-workers
- Adhere so all safety regulations
- Take/follow direction from Dispatch Supervisor
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Deliver and set fuel / propane tanks and cubes
- Load, unload, stack or wrap containers, materials, or products
- Load truck
- Fill propane cylinders as needed for customers
- Work in Warehouse as needed
- Examine vehicle to detect malfunctions, damage, or maintenance needed
- Transport petroleum products
- Verify the products being delivered match the orders
- Report all vehicle maintenance and repairs issues to shop manager
- Service vehicle with water, fuel, or oil
- Maintain driver log according to I.C.C. regulations
- Maintains current training records as advised by safety department
- Use established traffic or transportation procedures
- Follow traffic laws
- Perform safety inspections in transportation setting
Skills & Knowledge:
- Use basic math skills
- Read maps & use geographic positioning system (GPS)
- Use local or regional geographical knowledge to transportation
- Use weighing or measuring devices in transportation
- Lift or move objects up to 75 pounds
- Use various hand tools
- Operate a cell phone
- Climb truck ladders
- Drive truck with capacity greater than 3 tons
- Operate cleaning equipment
- Use vehicle repair tools or safety equipment
- Use truck-mounted hydraulic lifts or other accessories
Qualifications: Class A or B License with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement
