Job Summary:
The Senior Financial Analyst is a unique and important role for aurorium. The Senior Financial Analyst will provide support for financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting for the Corporate FP&A team. This role will be a liaison between Business Units and Corporate providing support for variance analysis, capital project analysis, revenue/pricing analysis, and ad hoc analyses as requested by finance leadership. Additionally, the role will provide support maintaining the Aurorium FP&A applications including enhancements, problem-solving, and training. This role reports to the Director of FP&A and supports the global Finance function.
Responsibilities:
Role Specific Responsibilities:
- Provide financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting support for Corporate FP&A and leadership
- Prepare analysis on key performance indicators across business
- Provides insights and decision-making support for leadership on gross margin of sales, productivity, costing and working capital
- Provide administration and functional support for Aurorium FP&A applications (Planful and PowerBI)
- Serve as the subject matter expert regarding the design and functionality of the applications and the various Finance processes/rhythms that they support
- Works with controllership and finance to manage key business processes (financial data loads, data mapping, month-end close, and consolidations)
- Continually improves the FP&A application support offerings to the business
- Supports financial analysis and insight to business leadership to ensure fully informed decisions
- Understands financial processes for the total business & business unit, including forecasting, budget planning, performance reporting, and others
- Collaborates with finance and other departments to develop dashboards and other reports to provide financial insight to the business in a clear and concise manner
- Provides analytical support as needed for leadership
- Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Desired Skills:
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field
Experience:
- 2 years of professional experience in a Finance or Analytics role
- Manufacturing or chemical industry experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Desire to understand the technical design behind Planful and PowerBI Applications
- Ability to work efficiently with large data sets to identify and address complex issues
- Ability to work in both finance and IT environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and priorities
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor as well as experience resolving complex business problems with well-structured analytics
- Displayed high levels of flexibility and adaptability
- Displayed bias for action and ability to complete projects
- Strong customer focus
- Proficient in SAP, Oracle, Planful (or similar analytic tool), Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc, and PowerBI (or similar).

- Self-motivated and ability to work within a fast paced environment
