Position Overview:
We are in search of a skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Cabinet Maker/Finisher in our team. The ideal candidate should have a robust background in woodworking, cabinet making, and finishing techniques. The responsibilities will include constructing and installing custom cabinets, as well as applying finishes to achieve a high-quality and visually appealing end product. This role requires an eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the capability to work either independently or within a team.
Responsibilities:
1. Cabinet Making:
- Accurately reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, or design plans to determine cabinet specifications.
- Using various woodworking tools, such as saws, routers, drills, and sanders, to shape and assemble cabinet components.
- Constructing cabinets according to specifications, ensuring precise measurements and accurate alignment.
- Installing hardware, such as hinges, handles, and drawer slides, ensuring proper functionality.
- Collaborating with designers, contractors, and clients to ensure the final product meets their expectations.
2. Finishing:
- Preparing cabinets for finishing by sanding, filling, and repairing any imperfections.
- Applying stains, paints, varnishes, or other finishes to achieve the desired color, texture, and appearance.
- Utilizing spraying, brushing, or rolling techniques to evenly coat cabinet surfaces.
- Conducting quality checks throughout the finishing process to ensure a flawless finish.
- Troubleshooting and correcting any imperfections or issues that may arise during finishing.
3. Safety and Maintenance:
- Complying with all safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Keeping the work area clean and organized, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker/Finisher or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, or design plans.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking tools, machinery, and techniques.
- Skills in cabinet construction, installation, and finishing processes.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain high-quality standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- The ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials or cabinets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.13 per hour
