Loader/Stocker
Reports to: Store Manager
General Purpose of Position:
A Loader/Stocker is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service; loading product safely, efficiently, and accurately; and safeguarding company assets.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Ensure each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, developing solid product knowledge, and delivering all other aspects of customer service.
- Safely and efficiently carry out and load products for customers.
- Assist with daily housekeeping of store, including sweeping floors, exterior pickup, etc.
- Maintain clean and orderly appearance of store shelves, receiving area and other warehouse spaces, and product stored outside.
- Accurately, efficiently, and promptly process incoming inventory from vendors and through intracompany transfers following Company’s designated inventory check-in procedures
- Accurately, efficiently, and promptly attach price stickers to merchandise for new inventory or reflecting price changes.
- Accurately and efficiently assemble transfer requests from other locations.
- Communicate customer requests to management.
- Any other tasks as assigned by any manager.
Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to communicate with associates and customers
- Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation
- If assigned following appropriate training, ability to safely operate forklift and/or skid steer and all other equipment necessary to perform the job
Requirements:
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, continually lift 50 lb. bags and 60-110 lb. bales of hay, and perform all functions as set forth above
- Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights (for special events), weekends, and holidays, as needed
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, indoor and outdoor
- Forklift and/or skid steer certification (provided by Company)
- Propane dispensing certification if location sells propane (provided by Company)
