Job Posting for HIM Data Integrity and Quality Analyst at Berkshire Health Systems
DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
The Data Integrity and Quality Analyst manages, organizes, coordinates, supports, and participates in performance improvement activities related to HIM processes, procedures, and data. He or she assumes high level tasks related to auditing, workflow analysis and performance improvement to ensure the HIM Dept. functions optimally, efficiently and is in compliance with all regulatory requirements. Provides Administrative support to the HIM Director and Manager.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
Experience:
A minimum of five years of Medical Record coding, auditing, or data integrity/quality experience.
Experience with group leadership and facilitation required.
Education and Training:
Bachelor’s degree in HIM or related discipline required.
License, Certification & Registration:
RHIA/RHIT - Registered as an RHIA or RHIT is preferred.
Other Requirements:
Possesses an understanding of health system medical records including an electronic medical record.
Maintains advanced Microsoft Excel computer skills.
Works independently to organize and prioritize projects, departments, and committees.
Demonstrates excellent presentation skills.
Works with confidential information with a knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
Demonstrates and promotes a culture of continuous improvement.
