If so, we are seeking a driven and successful Collections Specialist who will management collection activities for portfolio of business units(s) with a focus and understanding of specific customer processes / requirements.
Key Accountabilities :
- Perform outbound collection calls in a professional manner while developing and improving customer relationships.
- Provide timely and appropriate feedback to incoming responses from automated collection communications.
- Communicate with internal and external customers to resolve disputed balances.
- Monitor customer performance relative to payment terms.
- Prepare monthly reports of past due accounts and other various reports as required.
- Respond to customer reference inquiries in a timely manner.
- Monitor customer accounts for signs of financial problems for escalation to management.
- Promote sales growth by using discretion and professional judgement to prevent credit & collection efforts from adversely affecting customer relations.
- Validation of sales tax exemptions.
- Fulfill employee portion of the "Berlin Values".
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities :
- Associate degree in business or finance or the equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in a fast pace B2B collections role.
- Interpersonal effectiveness, problem solving and a comfort level with basic negotiation skills required.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, ability to multi-task and collaborate with others
- Basic MS Office proficiency.
- Peoplesoft experience preferred
- Business judgment and knowledge of collections tools and techniques.
Working Environment :
- Fast-paced corporate office environment.
- No travel required.
