Overview
BerryDunn is exciting to be adding a Director of Finance and Accounting to our team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Finance and Accounting will lead and oversee all financial, payroll, and accounting activities within the firm. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, maintaining strong internal financial controls, and delivering strategic financial guidance to drive the company’s growth and profitability.You Will
- Lead and manage the finance and accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance, and robust internal controls.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls.
- Manage cash flow, capital planning, and financial risks to enhance the firm’s financial stability.
- Ensure the timely and accurate execution of payroll for the firm.
- Monitor and manage financial risks.
- Support mergers and acquisitions activities, including due diligence and integration.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance financial processes, systems, and efficiencies within the department.
- Lead, mentor, coach, and develop a team of direct reports.
You Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 8 years in a financial function leadership role.
- Experience in delivering payroll services for a geo-dispersed workforce.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
- Proven experience in managing small teams, with a strong emphasis on leadership, mentoring, and development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of emotional intelligence and business acumen.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy and transparency
- Experience in the professional services industry with specific experience in an accounting or consulting firm is preferred.
- Proven track record of driving financial performance and growth.
Compensation Details
The base salary range targeted for this role is $140,000 - $170,000. This salary range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications in excess of the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
