Overview
BerryDunn is seeking a qualified full-time Data Analyst to join our Healthcare Practice Group. You will be responsible for providing data analysis and administrative support to our consulting teams in the healthcare industry as you assist in various client projects. You will handle confidential and sensitive information in a discreet and professional manner and demonstrate organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail. You will have the ability to prioritize/reprioritize daily work, work independently and in a team with the capacity for individual technical growth. This position is planned to sit in our Portland, ME, office with an option for a hybrid work arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Support client projects for healthcare consulting teams
- Assist with the analysis and summarization of healthcare and/or financial data
- Maintain databases of industry performance indicators using a variety of proprietary and publicly available data.
- Assist in the preparation of reporting required by Medicare and Medicaid.
- Assist with analysis of data models with established templates.
- Assist with healthcare team projects, including those occasionally requiring travel to clients.
- Assist with research on healthcare regulations, as needed.
- Assist with preparation of client deliverables.
- Interact with our clients to help manage the flow of requested information.
- Know and understand the reason for the firm's policies and procedures.
- Work as an effective team member to complete project components and assignment tasks.
- Learn and stay abreast of relevant healthcare regulations affecting clients.
Qualifications
- Associates degree or bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Data Analytics, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field and/or experience
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to learn how to conduct data analysis and identify trends
- Attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality work
- Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Suite of software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). Advanced MS Excel skills are a plus.
- Interest in and aptitude for learning new software applications
- Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-based, collaborative environment
Compensation Details
The base salary range targeted for this role is $24/hr - $31/hr. This salary range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications in excess of the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
