Job Title: PCU Nurse in Grand Forks,North Dakota We are seeking a highly skilled PCU Nurse to join our team for a 36-hour night shift contract position in Grand Forks, ND. As a PCU Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care in the assigned setting, utilizing your knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on the age of the patient and their clinical condition. Responsibilities: Administering patient care responsibilities considering needs specific to the plan of care Performing and documenting a complete admission assessment, including patients' health history, problems identified, patient teaching, and discharge needs/expectations Initiating and/or revising an individualized nursing care plan based on assessment of identified needs/problems involving the patient and/or family Formulating a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and evaluating the effectiveness of learning; family is included in teaching as appropriate Providing patients with a complete explanation of procedures or treatments Always providing patient safety by keeping call light within reach, maintaining bed in a low position with side rails in place and locked at all times, and seeing that patients are secured appropriately when transporting by wheelchair or stretcher Communicating appropriately and clearly to Nurse Manager, co-workers, and physicians Consulting other departments as appropriate for an interdisciplinary approach to the patients' needs Participating in orientation of new personnel Identifying and addressing psychosocial needs of patients and family; communicating with social services regarding both in-hospital and post-discharge needs Completing documentation as specified by organizational policy and procedures Recognizing abuse/neglect potential Requirements: Current RN license in the state of North Dakota Minimum of 2 years of recent PCU experience BLS and ACLS certifications Ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment Strong communication skills, both written and verbal #PCUnurse #GrandForksND #nightshift #healthcarejobs #registerednurse #nurselife #travelnurse #healthcarestaffing #medicalstaffing #healthcareemployment #healthcarejobsUSA #nursingjobs #medicaljobs #nursingcareer #healthcarecareers #healthcareindustry #hiringhealthcareworkers #healthcareservices #healthcareproviders #healthcareprofessionals
