Best Block LLC, part of the QUIKRETE® Companies, LLC, a manufacturer for segmental concrete products for the commercial, residential, contractor, industrial, and retail customer, has immediate openings for a Outside Masonry Sales Representative located at our Kansas City, MO facility.
SUMMARY:
An Outside Sales Representative’s job is to cultivate customer relationships, promote products offered by the company, search for and generate sales opportunities, and secure product sales outside the organization. The main task involves building relationships with accounts to secure orders from existing customers and securing prospective new customers. It is essential for the Outside sales representative to effectively provide the detailed information on various products, programs or services offered by the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:
- Scheduling appointments, meeting existing and new customers to review projects, product needs, and to determine new opportunities.
- Effective planning to conduct sales presentations by meeting customers physically on daily basis.
- Designing professional demonstrations or presentations of company products or services while on-site.
- Liaising between the company and the customers for up-to-date condition on pricing, service, and latest product release launches.
- Continuously updating all customers on company product modifications, changes, and enhancements.
- Maintaining professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray the company in a positive manner.
- Effectively attending conferences and trade shows.
- Using marketing and sales data to maximize sales effectiveness and identify market trends. Effectively reporting on sales by market.
- Preparing expense reports and effectively managing expense account.
- Update and maintain customer account information including contact names and numbers for future sales.
- Providing product quotes to customers.
- Ensuring follow-up after discussing leads to managers with complete profile customer information, calls-to-action, sources, dates.
