Job Summary:
The Accounting Clerk assists with functions in the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Departments The position also encompasses the performance of other general accounting support tasks of the daily operations of the Accounting Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Reconciliation of Customer Accounts Receivable Statements with emphasis on identifying short payments of invoices and skipped invoices.
• Research and address customer invoice discrepancies and issues.
• Scanning of Accounting Documents to the Company’s Enterprise Resource Planning Accounting Software
• Assist with the preparation of Accounts Payable Checks.
• Provide accounting and clerical support to the Accounting Department and collaborate with Accounts Receivable Collections
• Assist with Vendor W-9 and 1099 Reporting Requirements.
• Assist with the maintenance of vendor files and upkeep of Certificates of Insurance.
Required Skills/Abilities
• Must be able to multitask
• Excellent communication Skills (English and Spanish)
• Computer proficient, in Microsoft Excel, Word, Gmail
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Energy to succeed in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive, independent, motivated, and detail-oriented
Education and Experience:
• Associate degree preferred but not required.
• 2 years relevant experience in accounting preferably in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
Schedule
• 5 days per week (Monday through Friday)
