What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist/Operator position at BEST Pump and Flow, LP?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a CNC Machinist/Operator:
- Setup and operate productions equipment to support customer demand.
- Inspect parts to regulate configuration control utilizing inspection gauging and instruments such as Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators, and Bore gages.
- Possess working knowledge of cutting tools including speeds and feeds, boring, reaming, threading, milling, deep hole drilling and turning
- Ability to make and/or recommend adjustment to regulate part configuration both manually and through machine controls along with the understanding of basic shop math to perform needed calculations
- Knowledge of blueprints reading and comprehension of provided manufacturing processes
- Contributes to a team environment by maintaining a positive attitude along with supporting a safe work environment and keeps work area neat and organized
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 2 years machining experience operating one or more manufacturing machines including CNC Turning Centers (up to 5 axis), Multi-Task Machining Centers (up to 6 axis), CNC Vertical and Horizontal Mills (up to 4 axis) experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and make edits to G-code programs required, Mazatrol program experience a plus.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
