Summary of Position:
The LEAN Facilitator will setup, prepare, and optimize LEAN manufacturing/operational processes, direct and advise team members in identifying and eliminating 8 waste streams in collaboration with process owners and manufacturing team members. They will conduct LEAN projects and training, and proactively promote and create a safe work environment for all employees.

Essential Responsibilities:
-
The definition, setup, preparation and optimization of Lean manufacturing/operational processes
-
Direct and advise team members in identifying and eliminating 8 waste streams in collaboration with process owners and manufacturing team members
-
Prepares reports, project plans, Lean training materials and presentations
-
Designs and manages the Lean department's internal web page and service request processes
-
Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position
-
Proactively promote and create a safe work environment for all employees.

Performs Manufacturing process Audits and reports on findings
-
Supports the Quality Department for implementation of best practice developing and Improving the Companies Quality Management system from both internal and external shared learning, training and benchmarking

Conducting Company wide training LEAN principles.

Training development activities for LEAN projects
-
Develop, implement, and document the companies standardized on-the-job training program including specific work instructions, training checklists, technical training, refresher training, and qualification tests

Establish relationships with on-the-job training mentors, operations engineers, supervisors, and EHS staff in support of training activities

Update and develop plant work instructions for specific tasks and ensure alignment proper standards and regulations

Updates employee training records, lists of courses taken, when refreshers need to happen and ensures that all training materials are current and up to date

Establishes active work instructions and updates, documents any necessary changes to the materials.

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
-
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstances
-
Knowledge and Certification in Six Sigma highly desired.

Solid understanding of LEAN methodologies, 5S, Standard work, Statistical Engineering and VSM.
-
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, work with numerous internal subsystems and leads
-
Undergraduate degree required in Industrial Engineering (Preferred) or related engineering
-
ASQ Quality certification / Exemplar Global (RABQSA) or similar Certification a plus
-
Time Study and labor standards experience a plus

Able to read/interpret schematics and mechanical drawings
-
Able to write and follow detailed, written instructions
-
Able to read and understand regulatory agency documents
-
Able to stand/walk 10-90% of work day
-
Occasional bending and squatting required
-
Able to travel up to 15% of work time
Mental and Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 37lbs pounds.

While performing essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, stand, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel crouch, crawl, hear, talk and smell.

Able to work under stressful conditions at times.

Work conditions are indoors in a normal non-smoking office environment and outdoors under all weather conditions.

May be required to walk for long distances, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, climb or balance in order to reach high places.

Specific vision abilities required include depth perception with the ability to focus. Close vision is needed to work on the computer system.

Must possess good hearing as needed for work and safety compliance. Noise level could be moderate to very loud.

Occasionally required to work near moving mechanical parts and equipment.
