Best Way Distribution, a locally owned family company, is seeking a Operations Manager to join our team and manage the warehousing operations. The successful candidate will maintain high level of accuracy in day-to-day operations, lead and develop the warehouse team and provide impeccable customer service to our customers. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail oriented, and able to track multiple facets of the warehouse at any given time. Having the ability to understand and see the big picture is needed in this leadership role. Experience and knowledge in distribution, shipping and logistics industry required.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service.
- Schedule and oversee warehouse team to meet the demands of the customers, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.
- Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed.
- Meet regularly with the warehouse team to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention.
Skills
- Proven work experience as a warehouse manager.
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
- Forklift Certification (Preferred).
- 3PL experience (Preferred).
- Leadership skills and ability manage staff.
- Strong decision making and problem solving skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
