The Impact this role will have
Almost everyone has a cell phone or some type of wireless communication but without our Tower Foreman, none of these cellular devices would function! Our Tower Foreman will supervise and perform construction duties to complete the scope of work assigned to keep your cellular devices functioning.
What your day will be like
Lead and direct a crew of 2-4 members.
Schedule employee work and hours for assigned employees.
Determining proper project techniques.
Read, interpret, and builds towers according to design site plants and layouts.
Plans and controls the job budgets.
Ensures safety and security of employees and company assets.
Performs inspection and troubleshoot installs while capturing and providing closeout packages.
Takes responsibility for crew safety while ensuring crew members are in compliance with company and customer safety requirements.
Ability to train and supervise employees in all aspects of telecommunication tower construction and maintenance.
The specialized skills, experience, and education you will share with Betacom
High school diploma or equivalent.
Good reading and writing skills (English)
4 years or more related tower and construction experience.
OSHA 30, RF Awareness Training and First Aid / CPR trained.
Current ComTrain or equivalent certification in Tower Climbing Safety and Rescue Certification.
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Working knowledge of basic hand tools, mechanical equipment, and electro-mechanical equipment.
Acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license required.
Travel requirement :
Local to Alaska rotational travel will be required : 2-3 weeks away from home and then a couple of days at home before traveling again.
Outside of Alaska rotational travel will be required : 4-5 weeks travel away from home and then back home for one week before traveling again.
