OVERVIEW:
The Director of Security 5GaaS is responsible to secure 5GaaS ecosystem for Betacom and Customers. They will establish security best practices and process to ensure compliance to security standards, proactively management and execution of activities. Proactively collaborate with Engineering and SSOC to manage security during deployment and ongoing operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish industry best practices in operations to ensure that customer contracted SLA’s are met.
- Lead development of information security strategy.
- Serve as an expert on information and technical security for compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
- Work with the team to stay on top of security trends, evolving technologies, and other regulatory and industry-related standards and safeguards.
- Monitor and respond to emerging security threats.
- Incident response processes and procedures.
- Keep management, engineering, and other departments informed about related information security issues and implications.
- Identify and propose key Information Security program priorities, initiatives, plans, practices, and tools.
- Develop, maintain, and review comprehensive information security standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Research, Review, assess, and implement methods to streamline and automate security administration to enable zero trust security setup.
- Support business continuity planning and disaster recovery processes.
- Work closely with vendors and customer service to create synergy and improve service availability by continuous service monitoring, active/passive testing, proactive problem detection and resolution.
- Manage security of 5GaaS on 24x7 basis.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Understanding of telecom (RAN/Core/NW), cloud and application security
- Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and other systems
- Experience with risk evaluation
- A proven ability to organize, lead, and monitor a small team
- Deep understanding of wireless technologies, cloud, and CI/CD with ability to support 24x7 ops.
- Knowledge on automation, orchestration, and management of virtualized RAN and core networks.
- Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries, establish peer level trust, and achieve broader company objectives.
- Ability to manage budget and cost drivers.
- Excellent communication skills to manage customer, supplier, and executive engagement.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of five years in information security
- Minimum of two years of management and/or auditing experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Certified in Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certificate
- Experience managing a team security wireless telco networks (3G, 4G or 5G).
- Experience with administrating commercial public cloud infrastructures, technologies, and evolution: Azure, AWS, Google Cloud etc.
