The opportunity
We are seeking a caring Full-time RN to join the Bethany family.
The RN helps to lead a team of hospice aides, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers in developing a plan of care to provide for the needs of our patients and families. We serve patients within a 35-mile radius of our Greentree office in private residences, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. Typical hours are Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm, but we are open to other possibilities. Let us know what type of schedule you are seeking! Weekend oncall is fully staffed.
Requirements:
- RN License in PA
- At least one year of nursing experience, hospice experience is a plus
- Vehicle, driver’s license and car insurance
- Understanding of hospice philosophy and needs of the terminally ill (we can help you with this one!)
- Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices
- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary setting
- Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers
- Satisfactory criminal background check
- Presentation of negative TB test or CXR as required by state law
- Demonstrate good nursing judgement and excellent observation and communication skills
- Ability to provide good written documentation in a timely manner
- Self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision
- Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations
- Desire to be part of the best hospice team in western Pennsylvania
