What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diving Coach position at Bethesda Country Club?
Bethesda Country Club is hiring a Seasonal Head Dive Coach. This position will manage the Bethesda CC Dive program for a seasonal period. This is a great opportunity to be a part of an organization that believes our team members are our most important resource and therefore take great pride in selecting individuals that help us to achieve our clubs mission. The season begins the Tuesday after Memorial Day and runs through the end of July. We have afternoon practices until Montgomery County Schools close and every morning and afternoon weekday (Mon-Fri) practices thereafter. Our meets are on Monday and Wednesday evenings starting the 3rd week in June. Our season concludes with the Swim & Dive banquet that takes place around July 31st. The scope of work also includes meetings, meets, practices, award banquet and team social events.
Essential Functions:
- Recruitment of divers including encouragement of potential divers, devising outreach strategies to draw new divers as well as retain existing divers
- Leadership of weekday morning practices and afternoon practices
- Teaching and development of diving skills
- Safety of divers
- Liaison with swim team coaches regarding participation and social activities
Requirements:
- CPR Certified
- 1 Years' experience in a coaching position
- 3-5 Years' experience in professional or competitive diving
- Excellent communication skills
Salary : $38,100 - $48,300
