What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Relationship Specialist position at Better Business Bureau?
This key representative of BBB manages the entirety of the relationship with Assigned Accredited Businesses through sales, retention and marketing efforts designed to maintain and increase accredited businesses, program participation and revenue as well as selling innovative programs and sponsorships to Accredited Businesses of BBB and other qualifying companies in our service area.
Responsibilities and Duties: 1. Follow established account management timeline for each new and renewing AB to build and support relationships with Accredited Businesses. 2. Effectively implement selling innovative programs and sponsorships to Accredited Businesses of BBB and other qualifying companies in our service area to achieve accredited business growth and revenue goals. 3. Develop and become knowledgeable of all BBB programs and services offered to businesses and the general public. 4. Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of sponsorships and programs of BBB, develop and implement strong customer base for sponsorships and programs and, ensure high productivity. 5. Effective communication tools including telephone skills and effective in person selling. 6. Have knowledge of computer technology and software applications for Microsoft applications and become knowledgeable with BBB data base Interactive Blue. 7. Participate in effective marketing and advertising efforts as well as make suggestions to enhance programs. 8. Provide and maintain accurate accredited business records by updating information on the computer and in file form. 9. Provide for effective selling, marketing and networking by attending events, including but not limited to trade shows and other events. Represent BBB at community functions. 10. Prepare written material for sales if necessary. 11. Participate in department meetings. 12. Build strong and lasting relationships with Accredited Businesses. Assist team members in strategy for deepening and/or retaining ABs towards ensuring 85% or higher overall retention. 13. Conduct in person meetings with Accredited Businesses.
B.A. degree or equivalent in education and experience desired. Minimum 2 years experience in sales/marketing or other direct contact in a sales-related organization.

Pay: $35,360.00 - $39,520.00 per year
