About The Role
Empower our growth journey! Betterworks is on the lookout for a dynamic Vice President of Sales to lead our SDRs into new horizons. The Vice President of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) is a critical leadership role responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a high-performing Sales Development team. This individual will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of the sales pipeline, optimizing lead generation processes, and ensuring effective collaboration between the Sales Development team and the broader sales organization.
The preferred location for this role is Austin, Texas.
The Opportunity
Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and lead a team of Sales Development Representatives.
- Set clear expectations, provide ongoing coaching, and foster a positive and collaborative performance-based team culture.
- Manage and optimize team structure to maximize efficiency and results.
Strategy Development:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for Sales Development to achieve pipeline and revenue goals.
- Collaborate with Revenue Operations, Sales, and Marketing to align SDR efforts with broader business strategies and objectives.
Process Optimization:
- Continuously assess and enhance lead generation and qualification processes.
- Implement best practices in outbound prospecting, lead nurturing, and qualification.
- Utilize technology and data analysis to optimize SDR workflows and improve efficiency.
Metrics and Reporting:
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the SDR team.
- Provide regular reports and analysis on the performance of the Sales.
- Development function, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.
Training and Development:
- Implement ongoing training programs for SDRs to ensure continuous improvement and skill development.
- Foster a culture of learning and career development within the Sales Development team.

- Proven experience in a leadership role within Sales Development or a similar function.
- Strong track record of meeting or exceeding pipeline and revenue targets.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Deep understanding of lead generation processes and outbound prospecting strategies.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
