What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interim Chef position at Beyul Retreat?
Beyul Retreat, a backcountry adventure lodge meets wellness reateat, in Meredith, Colorado is seeking qualified applicants for a month-long position.
Applicants should have extensive cooking skills with the ability to manage and train others in a commercial kitchen setting.
Beyul is focused on nutrition, locally sourced organic ingredients and seasonal specialties when designing our menus.?
The ideal candidate has knowledge in: Nutritarian, raw, vegan, GF and vegan cooking techniques.
Menus are determined for groups of 30-60 people.?
Throughout the month of October, individual events will be catered to.
Our VIP guests are booked as groups in 2-5 day spans.?
Each group is offered 3 meals a day ranging from simple buffet breakfasts to Grab & Go lunches to 5 course fine dining table service dinners.
The chef will work directly with the F&B Director to ensure food quality and all Beyul service standards are upheld.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The Chef will be responsible for:
All food production (drafting prep lists and creating structured timelines for each event)?
Managing food & labor costs with F&B Director supervision?
Adhering to each events? scheduling of services
Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen
Managing deliveries and food organization
Managing other employees (cooks and dishwashers)
Observing all kitchen safety protocols
Assisting the F&B Director in purchasing?
Utilizing standard food safety techniques
