What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Boxing Trainer position at BFIIT?

BFIIT is an unconventional gym that incorporates Boxing, Fitness, Intensity and Interval Training to provide a fitness experience that will redefine your path to peak physical conditioning. We seek to develop a flourishing fitness community where each member's journey is individually tailored and inspired by a positive atmosphere, electrifying group classes, and one on one training. Our sophisticated facility is lavishly furnished with state-of-the-art amenities, 20 heavyweight bags, elite weightlifting apparatus, advanced cardio machines, and more; we are fully-equipped to power your fitness journey.

Position Overview

Group Fitness Instructors will lead our members, in a group environment, through a format of exercises designed to enhance overall fitness, strength, and endurance. Programs will include: Heavy Bag workouts, Mitt work and HIIT training.. The instructor will create a motivational and fun environment while teaching correct form and routine to accommodate all fitness levels.

The successful candidate must be excited and engaged. Also dependable and consistent in class schedule starting at 6:00am Monday through Friday and 9:00am Saturday and Sunday. Ending at 8:30pm Monday through Friday and 2:30pm Saturday and Sunday. The trainer must be able to maintain a positive and professional attitude towards our members at all times, while promoting the gym and classes. Starting pay is $25/class.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to perform a demo
  • Must have a valid national accredited Group Fitness Certification
  • Must be CPR certified
  • Must be able to help customers with hand wrapping if preferred

Qualifications:

  • Takes ownership of results
  • Adapts well and quickly to various situations
  • Communicates well with members and teammates with a customer service mentality
  • Team player
  • Must have competed in amateur or professional boxing matches.

Job-related location requirement:

  • Candidates must be within a 25-mile radius.
