Job Title : Clinical Data Scientist
Location : 900 Ridgebury Road, Ridgefield, CT 06877 (Telecommuting permitted: Work may be performed within normal commuting distance from this office 2 days per week)
Job Duties : Transform, analyze and report phase I-IV clinical trials and other data from research and development such as registries and real-world databases with respect to a specific use case or project/asset. Provide comprehensive statistical programming support to clinical trials and projects, including developing robust programming specifications for internal and external programming work. Develop, troubleshoot and maintain statistical programs and utilities to support the creation and validation of datasets and outputs. Keep abreast of data science and in particular new transformation and analysis solutions and innovative biostatistics processes/tools within the company. Present compelling validated stories regarding data science aspects to Biostatistics and Data Sciences (BDS) colleagues. Ensure data transformation and analysis specifications to ensure completeness, correctness and adherence to department guidelines and SOPs as well as to applicable GxP requirements. Support other colleagues on data science related tasks. Participate in cross-functional BDS internal working-groups and drive/plan relevant data science aspects. Ensure cross-functional and team-based working within BDS. *Telecommuting permitted: Work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc. office in Ridgefield, CT 2 days per week. **Multiple openings.
Work Schedule : 40 hours per week (8:00am to 5:00pm)
Job Requirements : Master’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field OR Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have working knowledge of the following skills gained through coursework or experience: utilizing statistical methodology; designing clinical trials or clinical experiments; utilizing basic medical terminology; processing clinical trial information; utilizing software languages; clinical trial data standards, such as CDISC, SDTM, or AdaM; utilizing Random Forest, Elastic Net, and XGboost methods in central nervous system (CNS) clinical trial data; using Python, SAS, R, and R-shiny; using High performance computing (HPC) for building machine learning models; and oncology data processing and visualization. Up to 10% domestic and international travel required.
