What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restaurant Hostess position at Biagio's & The Terrace?
Looking for a full-time restaurant hostess. Must present a positive first impression, friendliness, excellent service and high standards. Availability must include holidays, nights and weekends.
The hostess will be Responsible for the following:
- Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service
- Take Reservations
- Manage Reservations in OpenTable
- Change Drink Menus & add specials
- Make sure the dining rooms are presentable, stocked and orderly
- Change the decor seasonally
- Check bathrooms to make sure they are clean
- Make sure wine rack in dining room is stocked
- Greet incoming and departing Guests warmly, escort them to assigned dining area & present menus
- Inform Guest of current promotion and who will be serving them to ensure a smooth handoff to the service staff
- Manage the flow of Guests into the Dining and Bar areas, and direct people to appropriate rooms for parties
- Tend to special Guest needs and requests
- Observant to Guests’ needs throughout dining experience to ensure they receive high quality service (i.e. notice a drink refill is needed while seating another Guest and ensuring the drink is refilled prior to getting back to the door).
- Take, place, charge & package to go orders
Requirements:
- A desire to help out where needed and work as part of a team
- Must be Presentable and Dress Professionally
- 1 year experience in a full-service restaurant preferred
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays!
- Experience using Open Table a Plus!

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
