Summary:
The NPD/I Project Manager will lead cross-functional project teams from project approval (Gate 1) through the production launch (Gate 3) and project closure (Gate 4). This role is also responsible for ensuring each project is delivered on schedule (Time), meeting or exceeding project and product requirements (Scope), occurring within the approved development cost (Budget) limits, and at or below targeted product cost. This position reports directly to the VP of Program Office.

Essential Functions:
Lead small to medium size cross functional teams consisting of EE, SW, FW, ME, Regulatory Compliance, Manufacturing, Sourcing, etc. personnel.
Oversee electronics, acoustic, mechanical, firmware and software product development from concept through early production stages.
Familiar with Plastic Injection Tooling, Sheet Metal, Electronic assembly prototyping and production technologies.
Accountable for meeting all aspects of the Project’s top-level Time, Scope, and Budget.
Ensure clear communications of project goals, strategy, and status within the project team.
Executes Biamp’s New Product Development and Introduction process.
Hold project team members accountable for their project deliverables.
Provides project leadership necessary to ensure all functional team members have completed deliverables and are prepared for product release.
Leads regular cross functional project team meetings throughout the project.
Provides proactive communication re project status and to project executive team sponsors, including early notification of project Time, Scope, or Budget risks and recovery options.
Manages project change requests. Uses Gate approvals and Change Orders to document significant changes to the approved project plan.
Coordinates the preparation, scheduling, and execution of Gate 2-4 meetings with project sponsors.
Accountable for meeting the project budget. Reviews and approves all project related expenses.
Secondary Functions:
Proactively identifies and acts on opportunities for improvement across all organizations.
Participates in continuous improvement projects and process development of the Program Office.
Assigns and tracks progress of SPAs (Single Point of Accountability) to address issues and open items and ensure on-time completion of actions.
Builds collaborative relationships both internally and externally.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The successful candidate will possess the following combination of experience, knowledge and skills:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other product development and introduction related field
3 years previous NPI Project Management experience
Demonstrated cross functional team leadership.
Excellent problem identification, resolution option determination, and implementation of solutions.
Ability to understand and interpret data in driving decisive action.
Ability to develop and engage a diverse team to high levels of achievement.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, MS Project, and SharePoint).
Possesses excellent verbal and written skills in English.
Ability to effectively interact with personnel from all levels of the business (individual contributor to executive).
Demonstrates excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Able to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds. Diffuse challenging situations using acceptable and appropriate methods.
Able to multi-task and be flexible in a dynamic work environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Experience successfully managing 3rd party contract employees and suppliers in a global environment.
Work Environment:
Ability to lift 10 lbs. frequently and up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
Ability to stand or sit for long periods.
Ability to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required in designated areas.
