Summary Description of Classification:
Under the direct supervision on the Executive Director of Procurement, the position is responsible for performing duties relating to organizing and coordinating procurement activities and receipt and delivery of goods and services to include: price quotations, formal bids, Request for Proposals (RFPs), receipt and delivery of goods.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists with procurement activities relating to request for proposals, sealed bids, and price quotes.
- Organizes and maintains files and records on vendors, bid, and procurement processes.
- Receives, opens, screens, logs and date stamps bid responses and quotations; organizes bids for review.
- Corresponds with vendors and/or employees to handle issues relating to purchasing processes.
- Corresponds with vendors regarding prices, product availability, and delivery.
- Negotiates terms and conditions with vendors as needed.
- Responds and answers inquiries from employees regarding requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, pricing, etc.
- Completes purchase orders for processing.
- Reviews requisitions for goods and services
- Provides training and support on procurement processes.
- Maintains appropriate files and records.
- Attends appropriate meetings, conferences, conventions, etc.
- Completes Inter Office Mail Delivery
- Works within the onsite warehouse as needed, including but not limited to the receiving of products for delivery.
- P-card Coordinator for maintenance department.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Education, Training and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years of successful experience in an office setting.
- Other combinations of applicable educatoin, training, and experienxce which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.
SALARY/TERMS/BENEFITS:
- 239 day contract year; 8 hours per day
- Salary Range: Grade 54 (placement on salary schedule based on years of related experience). Up to ten years allowed. The stated salary range reflects the opportunity for pay over the course of the employee's tenure. For external candidates, the top pay is not a potential starting salary.
