Procurement Forester
Biewer Sawmill in Newton, MS is looking for a Procurement
Forester. This candidate will provide support the Newton, MS
and Winona, MS sawmills. Candidates should have
experience in forestry and a willingness to work outdoors in all
weather conditions.
Accountabilities –
Conducting an inventory of standing timber
Flagging timber sale/property lines
Logging supervision
Perform log quality inspections
Assist Area Foresters and Procurement Manager
Qualifications –
High School Diploma, required; B.S. in Forestry, preferred
3 years of forestry experience
Must be proficient with Xcel, Word, and Mapping Software
Good communication skills
Self-motivated and a driven team player
A great deal of bending/walking in uneven/thick terrain in
adverse conditions
Working alone and good time management skills
