What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server/Bartender position at Big Mike's BBQ?
Duties:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations on drink selections
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for alcohol consumption
- Handle cash transactions and operate cash register
- Monitor customer behavior and ensure responsible alcohol service
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent customer service
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage orders for events
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in bartending or related fields is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of brewing, food service, and the food industry is a plus
- Strong math skills, including the ability to perform retail math calculations accurately
- Ability to handle cash transactions and operate a cash register
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Must be at least 21 years old (or legal drinking age in the specific location)
- Knowledge of hospitality and catering practices is beneficial
