What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mail Room Attendant position at Big Sky Resort?
Overview:
Big Sky Resort is seeking a full time Mail Room Attendant to receive, sort, and process mail in a central hub in the Huntley/Shoshone Lodge. The mail room services guests and employees alike and this position will require a highly organized and efficient individual.
Responsibilities:
- Engage in professional, hospitable and courteous manner when interacting with guests, employees, and vendors.
- Accurately receiving and process all mail and packages. Any mail and inventory arriving at the Resort will go through the central mailroom.
- Accurately ship mail and process any returns from Big Sky Resort.
- Work with Big Sky Resort employees to ensure guest mailing needs are handled correctly.
- Lead and supervise elements in the Mailroom area such as project management, scheduling, supervising, and completing projects.
- Manage town runs to Bozeman and scheduling pickups of goods from vendors.
- Deliver packages to Resort Guests and Owners
- Previous hospitality and customer service experience with a focus on management is preferred.
- Mail Room experience preferred but not required.
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft, Windows applications and Outlook as well as Apple iOS.
- Works well under pressure and is able to accomplish multiple tasks with conflicting priorities and timeliness.
- Ability to respond to and deal with requests and needs in a confidential and discrete manner.
- Critical thinking skills, applying logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
