Description

The Installation Team Lead travels to installation sites across the United States. They are responsible for managing a team to complete various types of fabric structure projects. This includes but is not limited to, installations, relocations, and warranty repair work. The Team Lead reports to the General Manager. 

Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Take instruction from management to complete applicable project 
  • Clearly communicate and implement instruction to project team to complete project on-time and within budget
  • Operate heavy equipment in support of project requirements
  • Provide both initial and continual training to install technicians on all aspects of fabric shelter installation
  • Collaborates with customers, supervisory staff, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve problems, including work procedures, complaints, and construction or design issues
  • Manages and leads actions that are necessary due to delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction sites
  • Manage care and use of assigned tools and equipment  
  • Must always conduct themselves in a professional manner.
  • Ensures safety standards and guidelines are followed on the jobsite and that all safety codes are met in construction.
  • Other duties as assigned



Required Skills & Abilities: 

  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to coordinate projects in logical steps and budgets the time necessary to meet each deadline
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to clearly articulate instruction, training and project management requirements to a team
  • Ability to clearly and timely communicate, with management, the status of each project including progress and complications
  • Ability to troubleshoot various project complications and makes necessary adjustments
  • Ability to make intelligent and quick decisions, working well under pressure, and when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays
  • Ability to work well within a team environment
  • Ability to manage and coordinate a team to ensure objectives of each project are met
  • Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment including manlifts, lulls, all terrain forklifts/ and tele-handlers. Obtaining certification within three months of hire is required.
  • Basic understanding of hand tools and how to properly use them.
  • Ability to read a tape measure to the 1/16". 
  • Proficient in math, both decimal and inch calculations.
  • Ability to read blueprints 
  • Ability to follow company safety procedures and processes. 
  • Ability to obtain OSHA Certification within 90 days of hire
  • Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule


Physical Demands: 

  • Must be able to accurately exchange information with co-workers and management.
  • Must be comfortable with heights including operating in lift buckets and climbing ladders.
  • Heavy lifting (50lbs) is required on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to safely traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials.
  • Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools and machinery, and performing repetitive actions.
  • Manual dexterity to evaluate, modify and operate machinery and equipment. 
  • Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts and workmanship.
  • Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers including but not limited to, temperature of work environment ranging from 15 - 110°F., primarily outdoor exposure
  • Must be able to travel to job locations via plane or motor vehicle across the US

  • This position is subject to drug screening, background checks and a motor vehicle report must be submitted.  


Education:

High School diploma or equivalent


Work Experience:

  • Construction experience preferred
  • Welding experience is a plus
  • Experience working with, motivating, and managing diverse team with different experience levels preferred
  • Proven experience operating heavy equipment required
