Description:
A leadership position within the store responsible for assisting the store manager in various duties and acting as manager when the manager is out. The Assistant Manager holds themselves to the highest standard and sets an example for all staff members in how to behave in the store daily.
We do require that you:
- Be 18 years of age or older for this position
- Be available to work 30 hours a week or more

- Complete our New Barista Training Program- You will then receive your own dedicated trainer for your first 8 shifts to work alongside you and make sure you are comfortable with every aspect of the business.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead by example in creating a welcoming environment for all customers
- Ensure every customer is leaving the store in a better mood than when the customer arrived.
- Produce high quality products.
- Every product being handed out should have been made using the proper recipes, look presentable, and exceed the customer’s expectations.
- Ensure the store is clean and organized, especially from the customer’s perspective.
- Floors, counters, tables and chairs should be cleaned. Trash cans should not be overflowing.
- Ensure staff how to handle issues if they arise.
- Help customers achieve a unique to them drink through offering a beverage and food upsell on every transaction.
- Ensure that every Cashier is offering a beverage and food upsell for every transaction
- Understand how upselling benefits the customer
- Shows them how to customize their drink
- Can show them options they didn’t know they had
- Try new products and encourage customers to try them as well!
- Coach and develop team
- Monitor each staff member for individual growth potential.

- Ensure weekly and monthly chores are completed.
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are being followed.
- Understand the purpose of the 3-hour dishes, the Temperature Danger Zone and other food safety concerns.
- Able to handle a Health Department inspection.
- Maintain proper cash handling procedures
- Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed (i.e. pinpads are being handed out to customers, correct change is given, etc.)
- Count down drawers properly
- Knowledgeable of store goals, communicate goals to staff, and ability to impact on shift
- Understand store’s ABC, cup count goals.
- Communicate goals regularly to staff
- Coach staff on how to impact goals on shift through consistent upselling, following Position Priorities, etc.
- Assess execution of store contest: ensure staff know the contest, and how to execute properly, coaching them as necessary.
- Assess the speed of service and ensure proper procedures (Position Priorities, PERC, recipes) are maintained.
- Assist store manager with daily/weekly duties
- Conduct one Sysco and Mooville order a week within budget.
- Ability to complete a weekly schedule within budget.
- Know how to track time off requests
- Know how to add people and availability to a schedule
- Know how to check proper daily and hourly coverage based on sales
- Know how to create a schedule in the budget

- Know how to submit a FreshDesk repair ticket.
- Fill in as needed when store manager is absent
- Ability to cover all manager duties if manager is sick, has a no-contact day, or is on vacation.
· Attend same page meetings with PERColator and Store Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
