What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production clerk position at BigTex Trailers?
Assist Plant Manager and HR Coordinator with data compiling and report outs. This position will be based inside our manufacturing facility and will need to spend 2-4 hours on the production floor and will need to be well versed in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and be able to learn other computer applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Enter daily production including updating all applicable spreadsheets, entering data into our ERP, and identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues.
- Distributes plant reports including but not limited to daily, weekly, and year-to-date operations report.
- Provides suggestions to improve process, procedures, and department in support of company goal.
- Data entry skills and accuracy utilizing Windows based systems required.
- Answer Phones at front desk for plant needs.
- Respond to and answer all requests at front window.
- Assist in hiring process to include but not limited to resume reviews, and interviews.
- Help with first aide and safety concerns at the plant level.
- Be an integral part of the orientation of new employees in HR, Safety, and Production
- Be able to reconcile expense reports and credit card purchases at the plant level.
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Incumbent will follow other job-related instructions and perform other job-related duties from time to time if requested by management.
