Bilinski Sausage Mfg. Co. in Cohoes, NY is seeking a production supervisor for our packaging operations to lead a team of 8-12 employees in boxing our ready-to-eat sausages.
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for leading multiple production lines and/or workgroups to ensure a safe, quality meat product is produced. This position sets up, adjusts, and troubleshoots food production and packaging machinery, and monitors product quality to established standards.

- Lead and coordinate the production operations of two lines consisting of 8 or more people
- Coordinate the training of line personnel to maintain a workforce that is above standard in skill requirements, work levels, and daily schedules.
- Maintains line efficiencies and standards to meet quality, customer requirements.
- Plan and prepare for the next production day - set the team up for success.
- Maintains appropriate quality and production documentation.
- Motivating team members to meet daily production goals.

- Prefer candidates with 1-3 years of Team Leadership or supervision experience.
- Requires a proven track record in acceptable levels of attendance, safety, and quality of work.
- Requires a basic understanding of GMP's, HACCP, and SQF guidelines.
- Requires mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Requires good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with and provide work direction to employees.
- Must be able to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and electric jacks.
PHYSICAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to stand/Walk for 8-10 hours per day.
- Hours are typically Monday - Friday, shifts start at 6:00 am with the ability to stay until production is completed. Occasional Saturdays
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to bend, twist, stoop and squat, reach above shoulders as needed for day-to-day responsibilities and other miscellaneous duties.
- Must be able to work in temperatures of 40 degrees or less.
Salary : $48,200 - $61,000
