Alignment Technician

Responsibilities:

• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Drives vehicle onto wheel alignment rack and tests vehicle for faulty wheel alignment, bent axle, worn ball joints and bent steering rods & suspension issues.
• Replaces steering tie rods, adjusts tie rods and joining pins & camber to align wheels.
• Able to use wheel balancing machine.
• Use acetylene torches in safe manner. 
• Installs shock absorbers & strus.
• Attends manufacturer product training as requested.
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

• Valid Driver’s License w/ acceptable driving record
• Valid State of Maine Vehicle Inspection License preferred but not required
• Current ASE and/or OEM Certifications are strongly preferred
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
• Knowledge in automotive repair and maintenance
• Team Player
• Ability to learn new technology, service procedures and specifications
• Should be able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Able to endure repetitive and prolonged bending and reaching
