DESCRIPTION:
A Host, or Greeter, is responsible for warmly welcoming customers to our restaurant and ensuring that they are seated and receive attentive service. Duties include maintaining a waitlist of patrons during busy meal service, passing out menus, handling online ordering to-go’s and accepting phone calls. Other requirements include good communication skills, teamwork, cleanliness, and ability to stand and walk for extended periods (10 hours). Pay rate will be determined by previous experience, skill level, and attitude.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Greeting customers as they walk into the restaurant
· Helping guests with reservations and guiding them to their table
· Giving guests accurate wait time estimates and seating them in the waiting area
· Providing customers with menus and answering any initial questions they may have
· Optimizing seating at different tables to ensure even workload for wait staff
· Answering phones and scheduling reservations with large parties
· Have great customer service and positive attitude to team and guests
· Must present a professional attitude and appearance
· Acknowledge guest opportunities and offer options
· Maintain an open line of communication with Managers
· Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner
· Regular attendance and on-time to all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job
· Other duties as assigned
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
· Possess skills that allow you to warmly interact with guests and help keep restaurant operations running smoothly.
· Prior customer service experience in the hospitality industry- preferred, not required
· Positive attitude and interpersonal skills
· Good communication skills and phone etiquette
· Flexibility when working alternating shifts
· Ability to stand for long periods of time
